Kristian Hernandez is a senior media advertising major with a minor in psychology. He is the Sports Editor for The Prospector and has been a part of the EPCC student newspaper known as the Tejano Tribune. He is also part of the EPCC Dance Team helping with media and creative design.

The North American Hockey League (NAHL) El Paso Rhinos (2-1-0-0) out lasted their South Division opponent Oklahoma Warriors (1-2-0-0) in the best of three play-in series. Rhinos’ Head Coach Michael Rivera credited a defense that’s able to match Oklahoma’s line.

Praise Djoma was named Conference USA Women’s Field Athlete of the Week in back-to-back weeks during the 2026 indoor season and later won gold in the long jump at the conference indoor championship with a personal-best 6.25 meters.

Praise Djoma recorded a league-leading 6.16 meters in the long jump and a personal best of 12.28 meters in the triple jump, ranking No. 1 and No. 3 in Conference USA, respectively.

UTEP’s women’s basketball team defeated New Mexico State University 79-69, setting high expectations for the remainder of the season.
