Jesie Garcia is a fourth-year student majoring in multimedia journalism with a minor in Chicano studies. She is a staff reporter at The Prospector. She plans on pursuing a M.Ed. in social justice and has a passion for reporting on education issues in her community. Outside of The Prospector, Garcia runs her own food and travel blog and takes part in open-mics with El Paso Barbed Wire Open Mic Sessions.
