Jesie Garcia is a senior at UTEP with a major in multimedia journalism and a minor in Chicano studies. She is The Prospector’s arts and culture editor. After graduation she hopes to one day work for NPR and pursue an M.A. in Linguistics with a concentration in sociolinguistics. Garcia runs her own blog focusing on Mexican-American food, culture, and travel and accredits her passion for journalism to her love for her community.
