UTEP falls short from comeback, ULM escapes 31-25

The University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) nearly erased a 24-point deficit in an anticipated Sun Bowl comeback, but late turnovers doomed the Miners in a 31-25 loss to the University of Louisiana at Monroe (ULM). Sophomore QB Malachi Nelson earned his career high of 404 passing yards.

The El Paso Chihuahuas faced the Las Vegas Aviators in a six-game series from July 8 through July 13. The two teams split the series 3-3 at Southwest University Park.

Game 3 of the El Paso Chihuahuas’ six-game series against the Las Vegas Aviators took place on July 10 with 4,962 fans in attendance. The series took place beginning on July 8 and ending on July 13 when the Chihuahuas took Game 6, splitting the series 3-3 with the Aviators.

UTEP tennis finished strong in home invitational

UTEP’s women’s tennis displayed strong victories through the three-day invitational which took place Nov. 1-3. The team finished the tournament with strong performances: Telzynska remained undefeated in both singles and doubles, Zhang stayed undefeated in singles, and the duo of Mencaglia and Telzynska defeated Sam Houston in doubles.
