On this weeks episode, we are celebrating Black History Month. Staff Reporter Avery Escamilla-Wendell conducts a phone interview with small business owners of Touch of Brii, Briana Jones and Mike Toussaint to discuss their collaboration to provide Black hairstyles and hair care to the El Paso community. Staff reporter Elisha Nuñez interviews Anthony Michael Stokes on the art he submitted for UTEP’s art showcase “Call for Art” with the theme “Black Joy”. Host Katrina Villarreal highlights Black sports journalists who are paving the way and who are empowering future black journalists. Staff reporter Erik Acosta makes his debut for the “M and E mental health segment” and photographer Gianluca Cuevas asks students on campus on who they think is going to win the Super Bowl.
