The Miners avoided their fifth loss in a row after defeating the CSU Bakersfield Roadrunners 74-61. Sparkle Taylor led the Miners with 16 points while Tamara Seda hit a double-double with 15 points and 17 boards.

Next, the Miners will take on UTSA on Sunday, Jan 1, in the Don Haskins Center. Tip off is slated at 2:05.
