Lesly Marlene Chavez is a freshman double majoring in multimedia journalism and neuroscience with a focus on psychology. She is a photographer for both the Minero Magazine and the Prospector. Her goal is to work in the either digital or TV news media in the future. Combined with her neuro-degree, she wants to help spread the word about neuropsychological and cognitive issues through the use of research and journalism.

Jose Hurtado, Ph.D., a professor of Earth, Environmental and Resource Sciences at UTEP , received a NASA grant to join the Lunar Mapping Program.
