Abigail Pedroza is a freshman at the University of Texas at El Paso majoring in Art History. She is the arts and culture editor for The Prospector. After graduating she wishes to pursue a career in the media and arts industry as a museum curator/caretaker or as a journalist working within the arts.

The University of Texas at El Paso’s (UTEP’s) Marching Miners celebrated their annual Band Day by hosting all high school bands around El Paso. Their performance honored heroes and four retired educators that provided support and a community for musicians for many decades.
