UTEP Athletics announced its new partnership with Spry June 28 for better communication and relationship between coaches, administrators and athletes. 

“We are thrilled to embark on this transformative partnership with Spry, as we strive to improve our athletic department processes and improve the experience for our valued administrators, coaches, and student-athletes,” Tayler Vena Harrell, Senior Associate Athletic Director for Compliance at UTEP said.  

Spry allows athletic departments, administrators and coaches to connect with all student-athletes, create personalized workflows and find new recruits. Its mission is “To create solutions that move the collegiate athletics industry forward in the best interests of the student-athletes and administrators.” 

“We are honored to enter this new and exciting partnership with UTEP Athletics,” Lyle Adams, CEO of Spry said. “Our partnership with UTEP signifies a shared vision of transforming athletic department operations and elevating the student-athlete experience.” 

Communication plays a vital role in fostering a healthy and successful relationship between coaches and student athletes. The importance of effective communication cannot be overstated, as it lays the foundation for trust, understanding and collaboration.  

Overall, communication between administrators and student-athletes is essential for a harmonious sports environment, as it establishes clear expectations, provides feedback, encourages open dialogue and builds trust.  

Spry offers an easy and friendly platform that facilitates and embraces communication in collegiate athletic departments.

Spry will also improve the administration of UTEP Athletics since it creates a better way to supervise and communicate with student-athletes. Good administration establishes clear policies, procedures and guidelines that govern the athletic department.  

These frameworks provide structure and consistency, ensuring that all members of the department are aware of their roles, responsibilities and expectations.  

In addition, this new partnership facilitates compliance with rules and regulations set forth by governing bodies, such as the NCAA.
