Each year the Student Government Association seeks to represent all students equally and ensure that their voices are heard in UTEP’s decision-making process. According to SGA’s mission, its goal is to advocate for students’ rights at UTEP and at local, state and national administration level.

This spring SGA is having its 2022 elections which are open for voting for the following seats:

  • President
  • Vice president of external affairs
  • Vice president of internal affairs
  • Eight collegiate senators
  • 16 senators at-large

As part of campus life, students are encouraged to vote for the candidate they feel best represents them as a UTEP student. To cast your vote go to sgaelections.utep.edu or visit the Voting Guide https://www.utep.edu/student-affairs/sga/Elections/candidate-questionnaire/index.html to learn more about the candidates.
