The Student Engagement and Leadership Center (SELC) celebrated National Coming Out Day outside the Union East Building Friday, Oct. 10 with a photobooth and giveaways. Seeking to reach out to the LGBTQ community and spread awareness in the community, the event was the first of many that will take place around campus to encourage inclusion next week.  

Ally Week will begin Oct. 14 and will end Oct. 17. The schedule will be as follows:  

Hear our Voices: Narrative of Military-Affiliated Students 

1-2 p.m., Monday, Oct. 14 at Union Building East, Cactus Flower 102C 

Led by: Nadia MunozMilitary Students Success Center (MSSC)  

2nd Annual Queer(in)g Our Classrooms: Queer as a Second Language, a readers theater performance 

6-8 p.m., Monday, Oct. 14 at the El Paso Natural Gas Conference Center
