Three Chihuahuas named to play in All-Star Game

Shortstop Luis Urias was selected to play in the 2019 Triple-A All Star Game.

The El Paso Chihuahuas will be well represented in the upcoming Triple-A All-Star game they are hosting July 10 at Southwest University Park, with three players named to play in the game.

 Second Baseman Luis Urias, third baseman Ty France and catcher Austin Allen were all named the PCL squad that will face the International League All-Stars.

 All three players have spent some time in the majors with their parent club, the San Diego Padres this season.

 Ty France has split the season between the Padres and Chihuahuas and is currently hitting .382 with 17 home runs and 48 runs batted in while appearing in 35 games. 

Luis Urias has played 60 games and has 17 home runs and 42 runs batted in, along with a .329 average. Austin Allen has appeared in 30 games with a .296 average, eight home runs and 17 runs brought in.
