People celebrate Black History Month at a parade Saturday Feb. 23rd.

People from El Paso came together to celebrate Black History Month at a parade that started on the corner of Montana Street and Pershing Street on Saturday, Feb. 23.

People followed the parade as it made its way to Mary Webb Park in order to start the celebrations with food and music. The event was organized by Kappa Epsilon Psi Military Sorority.

Valeria Olivares is currently a senior studying multimedia journalism and is the editor-in-chief of The Prospector. John Hadjimarcou, Ph.D., first came to UTEP in 1994, starting as a professor and eventually being appointed interim dean in 2023. On Mar. 25, 2024, Hadjimarcou was named the permanent dean of the Woody L. Hunt College of Business.
