Kids who spent time in Tent City write this message to the new kids who will be spending time at Tent City.

The community gathers one more time at the Tornillo Port of Entry on Saturday morning, Dec. 15, to bring an end to Tent City, which is holding minors who arrived to the border unaccompanied.

U.S. Rep. Beto O’Rourke (D-TX 16),  led a delegation to Tornillo. O’Rourke toured the Tent City along with U.S. Senator Tina Smith (MN), U.S. Rep. Judy Chu (D-CA 27), U.S. Sen. Mazie K. Hirono (D-HI), and U.S. Sen. Jeff  Merkley (D-OR). Representative-elect Veronica Escobar  didn’t tour with the other representatives for reasons which are unclear. Instead, she addressed the community about what is taking place in Tent City.
