Hip-hop recording artist and rising rapper Russ will be performing in El Paso Thursday, June 14.

Russ whose full name is Russell Vitale is an American singer-songwriter and record producer whose debut album “There’s Really a Wolf” went Platinum soon after two of his songs, “What They Want” and “Losin Control” received double Platinum recognition. Four other songs on the album also went Gold.

The skilled rapper was able to accomplish an incredible feat by creating his entire album with no featured artists. He also wrote, rapped, produced, and engineering the whole project on his own, something that is rare for most artists to do.

“Humbly speaking, there hasn’t been a debut in hip-hop that successful in a long time, period,” he told Billboard after his Coachella set earlier this year.

He’s credited other rappers like Drake and Eminem to be some of his inspirations and he’s already in the studio working on his sophomore album.

I See You Tour Part 1 will stop at the El Paso County Coliseum Thursday, June 14. The show begins at 8 p.m. and tickets can be found online at www.ticketmaster.com or by calling the County Coliseum Box Office: 915-533-9899.
