One of UTEP’s most anticipated summer events Movies on the Lawn returns to the Centennial Plaza this summer.

The free movie event presented by UTEP’S Student Engagement and Leadership Center kicks off on Friday, June 8 with a screening of Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, the rebooted film featuring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Kevin Hart, and Jack Black which released earlier this year.

Following that screening will be the cult classic The Goonies on Friday, June 22.

Next, will be Disney’s A Wrinkle in Time on Friday, July 6 and concluding the event will be Ready Player One on Friday, July 20.

Showtimes begin at 8:30 p.m. but will be determined by the sunset, so times are subject to change.

Guests are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs and blankets. Free parking is available at the Sun Bowl Parking garage. Alcohol, glass containers, and pets are strictly prohibited.

Concessions will be available for purchase with a $5 combo which includes popcorn, soda, and a hotdog.
