UberEATS debuts in El Paso this week

UberEATS+debuts+in+El+Paso+this+week

The popular food delivery service UberEATS will launch in El Paso this Thursday, Nov. 2.

UberEATS allows users to choose any restaurant in their area, order off their menu. Much like with the Uber app, users will be able to screen their estimated delivery time and track the order through the app.

Back in August, UberEATS decided to expand to 31 college campuses including UTEP, Texas A&M University, University of New Mexico, and Texas Tech University among others.

One of the participating restaurants, Mesa Street Grill, jumped on board as soon as they found out UberEATS was coming to El Paso. They are also a participating restaurant with GrubHub, another food delivery service, and have seen some growth with that app. They are hoping UberEATS will do that and more.

“Uber being the big name that it is, we’re hoping it will help out [with business] even more,“ said assistant manager John Mendoza. “We did some test orders today with the UberEATS team. We’re excited to start this venture with them.”

UberEATS is available on the Apple App Store or Android’s Google Play.

Here’s a list of the restaurants that will take UberEATS orders:

  • Avila’s Mexican Food
  • The Pizza Joint
  • Pho Tre Bien
  • Forti’s Mexican Elder Restaurant
  • Mesa Street Grill
  • Clasico Kitchen Bar
  • MidiCi – The Neapolitan Pizza Company
  • King Crab
