Sophomore Lauren Crenshaw scored a golden goal in the 109th minute to lift the UTEP soccer team to a 2-1 victory at UTSA in the season finale for both squads Friday evening. Vic Bohdan (42’) also scored for the Miners (8-11, 4-6 Conference USA), on a feed from Jeanna Mullen.

The Roadrunners (3-14, 2-8 C-USA) received a goal from Kaja Skare (48’).

Caley Leask (five saves) and Alyssa Palacios (one save) split time in net for the Miners.

“We finished the season on a high note,” UTEP head coach Kevin Cross said in a press release. “Lauren Crenshaw made a big time shot. It is a great feeling to end on a win. We are very thankful for our three seniors and all that they have given to UTEP soccer – G (Jeanna Mullen), KC (Kennadie Chaudhary), and Devyn (Hunley).”
