Due to an increase in student enrollment, parking garage permits were oversold by 3,850 spots and students have been having problems finding parking spots at the parking garages.

UTEP’s Office of Parking and Transportation Services is allowing students who have a parking garage parking permit to trade their permits for one at remote or a perimeter lot and receive a prorated refund.

Anyone interested in trading their permit must exchange in person from 1 to 4 p.m. weekdays at the Parking Transportation Services Administrative Offices.

Students who choose to keep their garage permits will still be allowed to park in any remote and perimeters lots if the garages are full.

Parking and Transportation Services can be reached at (915)747-6161 and parking.utep.edu

You are writing about the students, but I wonder how they are helping the staff. Are they sending them to the remote locations as well?
