UTEP opens Fall semester with Minerpalooza

UTEP hosted its 27th annual Minerpalooza to welcome students to the fall semester. This year the musical guests included, Prime 80’z, Jenny and the Mexicats, and closing headliners We The Kings.

By the Sun Bowl entrance, Pete’s playground was where most of the families spent their evening as kids played games. Money from Pete’s playground goes toward funding UTEP student organizations.

UTEP also had an adult section that included a beer and wine garden for anyone 21 and over.

This year the football team did not attend because they were playing a game away from home. The women’s basketball, men’s basketball, women’s volleyball and the hockey club had booths at the event.
