The UTEP Parking and Transportation Services office sent out an email early this weekend to notify the students and staff about the upcoming events in September that will cause mayor permit parking issues.

The events scheduled for the month of September are Minerpalooza on Friday, Sept. 1, the Guns N’ Roses concert on Wednesday, Sept. 6, and The UTEP Miners football game vs. the University of Arizona Wildcats on Friday, Sept. 15.

During these events, lots will be closed or limited for parking.
The parking lot P-5 (DA1) will be closed from Sept. 1 through Sept. 7 for the Guns N’ Roses production load out.

Parking lots P-6(SB5), P-7(SB6) and P-9(GR2) will be closed on Sept. 1, Sept. 6 and Sept. 15.

The top two levels of the Sun Bowl parking garage (SBG) will be closed the day of the Guns N’ Roses concert.

The silver parking lot S-3, Randolph Drive (RA2), P-10 (OR2) and Glory Road 1, 2, 3 and 5 will be impacted.

The PTS office recommends that students and staff plan ahead, join a car pool, get a ride and be left at a convenient drop-off area or use public transportation the day of the events.
