Hernandez announced to AP Preseason All-America second team

On Tuesday senior offensive lineman Will Hernandez was named to the 2017 AP Preseason All-America second team.

Along with this honor, Hernandez was announced to the 2017 Outland Trophy Watch List, noted by Athlon Sports on the Preseason All-Conference USA first team and Preseason All-America third team.

Last year he led the offensive line that allowed only 1.3 sacks per game. He started all 12 games last year and reaped in post-season awards.

Hernandez and the Miners will take on no. 7 Oklahoma on Sept. 2 in Norman. The game is slated for 1:30 p.m. MT and will be televised on FOX.
