Totalling a season high of 16 hits, the Chihuahuas dominated the Colorado Springs Sky Sox 10-5 on a beautiful Monday night at Southwest University Park.

Leading the way for the Chihuahuas was Carlos Asuaje, who went 3-for-4 with a home run and two RBIs. Jabari Blash and Christian Villanueva both knocked home runs of themselves throughout the night for the club. The three home runs tied the team’s season high. Also, all eight batters in rotation recorded a hit or an RBI.

Pitcher Walker Lockett only allowed one run in seven innings. The Chihuahuas (18-20) will face off Colorado in their second game on Tuesday at 6:35 p.m.
