Throughout this spring season, UTEP women’s tennis doubles team Vivienne Kulicke and Milou Pietersz have racked up an impressive 6-1 record. And, as announced by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association, the duo is ranked No. 48 in the country.

This ranking reigns atop the highest of Conference USA, followed by Rice’s Lindsey Hodge and Wendy Zhang at No. 50.

The pair’s only loss came against Oklahoma’s 10th ranked Lily Miyazaki and Julie Byrne (6-3). Kulicke and Pietersz’ most notable victory came in their upset win against TCU’s 16th ranked Donika Bashota and Olaya Garrido-Rivas.

Both Kulicke and Pietersz and the Miners will compete for their first home match on Saturday, Feb. 11, against Houston at 11 a.m. at the El Paso Tennis Club.
