Miners volleyball falls to top-ranked Western Kentucky

In the quarterfinal round of the Conference USA Tournament, the Miners fell in three sets to Western Kentucky (19-25, 23-25, 24-26), thus ending their 2016 volleyball season.

Lindsey Larson, who was named to the Conference USA All-Academic Team on Friday, Nov. 18, led the charge for the Miners as she whipped up a double-double, 27 assists and 12 digs, and also contributed with six kills and two blocks.

Tatum Winter knocked eight kills herself, with two blocks, two digs and an ace. Also, Macey Austin led the team in kills with nine under her belt.

The Miners will return home for their final game of the season against New Mexico State on Nov. 23 at 1 p.m. Mountain Standard Time in Memorial Gym.
