Cross country advances to NCAA Championships

With a dominant fifth place performance at the NCAA Mountain Regionals, the Miners men’s cross country squad will advance to compete at the NCAA Championships next weekend for the third consecutive year.

 

During their fifth place showing, the Miners racked in 122 points to qualify for the NCAA Championships. UTEP’s Jonah Koech came in second place for the Miners with a 30:58.6 time. Other runners to snag a top-25 spot by the USTFCCCA were Antony Kosgei, who finished 13th, and Cosmas Boit, who finished 19th.

The NCAA Championships will take place in Terre Haute, Indiana, on Saturday, Nov. 19.
