After his dominant 228 rushing yards and two touchdown game against Houston Baptist, standout running back Aaron Jones was named to The Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award National Player of the Week Honorable Mention on Tuesday, Nov. 8.

Even though he only had 14 carries during Saturday’s game, he surpassed the 1,000 rushing yard mark for the season, and climbed up to No. 2 for the program’s leading rusher. He only needs 68 yards to surpass John Harvey as the program’s leading rusher.

With his field day on Saturday, Jones also became Conference USA’s leading rusher with 1168 yards this season.
