In anticipation for the 2016 election, the UTEP residence life, the office of student life, and the department of political science are in collaboration to host a presidential election watch party. The event will take place on Tuesday, Nov. 8 in the Boquillas Hall in Miner Canyon, 3490 Sun Bowl Dr, at 6:00 p.m. There will be refreshments provided for those who attend. For more information, contact the office of student life at (915) 747-5648.

Adrian Broaddus is the sports editor for The Prospector. He is a junior multimedia journalism major with a minor in political science.   Adrian was born and raised in El Paso, TX, and is a graduate of Franklin high school. He entered college in the fall of 2015 in hopes to better his career in journalism.   Along with sports, Adrian enjoys writing music reviews, perspective columns and news stories on politics.   Although he is pursuing his degree in journalism, Adrian would like to go to law school and be an attorney while doing part-time work in journalism.

John Hadjimarcou, Ph.D., first came to UTEP in 1994, starting as a professor and eventually being appointed interim dean in 2023. On Mar. 25, 2024, Hadjimarcou was named the permanent dean of the Woody L. Hunt College of Business.
