PHOTOS: The 2016 Balloon Invitational took place this Saturday and Sunday, at the White Sands National Monument. The entrance to the park was $5 per person. However, the entrance to the Hot Air Balloons show was free. People where overwhelmed by the fantastic contrast of the white sands and the colorful hot air balloons. The event began right at sunrise and lasted until the balloons came down. By 10:00 a.m. the event was over but a lot of people stayed there and enjoyed the weather . The Hot Air Balloon Invitational has been growing since its opening, making this year its 25th edition.
