Members of UTEP student organizations and Greek life battled it out during today’s homecoming lip-syncing battle, which was held at the Union Breezeway at noon. Members from Alpha Sigma Alpha and the University Democrats, including Homecoming King Manny Lopez, danced it off to different musical numbers during a skit about a trip to SXSW, while a Zeta Tau Alpha/Theta Chi squad did a skit about basketball. Members from the Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity, who won the battle, lip-synced their way through a Beyonce-themed skit about the pride of being a Texan and a Miner. The student team won goodie bags filled with Miner paraphernalia that were donated by UTEP Athletics. UTEP’s Allegro dance team ended the event by demonstrating their dance skills.
