The local women’s advocacy organization, La Mujer Obrera hosts, for one night only, ONE JOURNEY: A One Woman Show, an evening of Dinner, Danza y Drama on Fri. Oct. 25 at 7 p.m. at Café Mayapan, located at 2000 Texas Ave. This event will feature Danza Azteca Omecoalt.

This coming of age story weaves together stories of living on the Mexican/American border in the midst of poverty, drug wars, anti-immigrant sentiment, border enforcement and cultural & spiritual loss.

ONE JOURNEY has traveled nationwide, to include performances at New York University, Columbia University & Rutgers University, and featured at the U.S. Hispanic Leadership Institute in Chicago, IL. This coming of age story weaves together stories of living on the Mexican/American border in the midst of poverty, drug wars, anti-immigrant sentiment, border enforcement and cultural & spiritual loss.
