Jamming for the Cause with FLPR

The University of Texas at El Paso’s association, Future Leaders of Public Relations will host the annual charity event, Jamming for the Cause. This event will partner up with local vendors such as food trucks and The Station Night Club on October 17, 2013 to collect funds to help local animal shelters. The funds raised will benefit local animal shelter charities around the city of El Paso. Food and music from local bands will be provided both inside and outside of the venue. The cover of the event will be $5.00 inside The Station Nigh Club, open to ages 18 and over.  Local bands include Stereothieves, FEVER, Radio Xuco, DJ Brain, and Biscuit Roller. Food will be provided by El Paso’s Wurst, Little Luna Pizza, Grill on the Go, and Outlaw Most Wanted Taco. Doors will open to the public Thursday, Oct. 17, 2013 at 9:30 PM until Friday, October 18, 2013.

“Jamming for the Cause is FLPR’s way of giving back to the community of El Paso. This charity event is so dear to me because I feel it is a fun way to bring city issues to light and allow the UTEP community to come together and help our city grow. Another important fact is that we’re not only  doing this charity event to help local animal shelters but also supporting local musicians ” Maira Rico, coordinator of the event Jamming for the Cause commented about the positive outcome that this event can bring to the community of El Paso as well as to the community of UTEP.

Jamming for the Cause is an event that will bring together the interests of people who enjoy good music, good food, as well as helping the community where we live.
