September 16, Mexican Independence Day, has not gone unnoticed at UTEP, where students celebrated “El Grito,” noon, Monday at the Union Breezway. Attendants got to witness performances by Ballet Folklorico Flor y Canto, Inc. UTEP President Diana Natalicio and others, along with Councul General of Mexico Jacob Prado performed “El Grito De Dolores” along with his speech celebrating Mexican Independence. Tiny Mexican Flags were passed out at the event.
