UTEP men’s basketball opens season with statement win over UTPB

Brief: The University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) (1-0, 0-0, Conference USA) men’s basketball team opened their 2025 season with a dominant win over The University of Texas Permian Basin (UTPB) (0-1, 0-0, Lone Star Conference) on Nov. 3 at the Don Haskins Center. UTEP blew out the Falcons 98-56 in the non-conference game. UTEP junior forward Kaseem Watson led the way with 18 points and eight rebounds.
