Eligible students of UTEP will be contacted by email from July 19 to Aug. 15 to apply for American Rescue Plan (HEERF III). The university will be contacting from 1000 to 2000 students per day to confirm their eligibility. Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, foreign and undocumented students will also be eligible for these grants.
UTEP will provide a link to the email application and encourages students to apply as soon as possible since funds are limited for this program. Those deemed the most significant financial need will be prioritized to receive funds first based on federal regulations. Emails from this program will be coming directly from [email protected]
The university also announced that a limited amount of federal relief money was designated to assist students with outstanding balances that have attended UTEP during the COVID-19 pandemic in any terms since March 2020. The process to distribute funds was done automatically by eligibility and resources and will not require an application.
