This Spring semester has shown the highest spring enrollment yet, according to University Communications.

The campus has seen a 3.6 percent increase compared to the 2017 Spring semester, with the total population at 23,606, which is the highest increase since 2011.

“We are excited to see continuing enrollment growth at UTEP,” said vice president for Student Affairs Gary Edens, said in a press release. “Especially encouraging is the 7.2 percent increase among sophomores, which we credit to some of our newest retention efforts, in particular the UTEP Edge.”

Breaking enrollment records is a continuing trend as last semester enrollment increased by nearly 5 percent, reaching an all time high for the 19th consecutive year.
