UTEP invites you to take a picture

To close the Centennial Exhibit Series, the Centennial Celebration Office announced the Centennial Photo Contest, an opportunity for El Paso and the UTEP community to participate in the schools centennial celebration. Students, faculty and staff are welcomed to participate and submit their photos by Sept. 12.

The contest will have seven categories in which the photos can be submitted.

1) Centennial Celebration, a photo during a centennial event or a moment that captures the celebration 2) UTEP Landscapes, a photo depicting buildings, architecture and plant life on the campus 3) Paydirt Pete, photos with the UTEP mascot at any campus event or activity 4) Student Life, photos that demonstrate the daily student life on campus such as their commute in the shuttles, studying in the library, club meetings etc… 5)Traditions, photos that demonstrate a UTEP tradition on campus 6) Arts on Campus, visual and performing arts on campus and 7) Sports, athletic events photographs

Any current student, faculty, staff and alumni are eligible to participate by submitting two photographs, JPEG format. Professional photographer may enter for recognition, but will not be eligible to receive a prize. A panel of celebrity judges will judge the entries, the names will be at a later date.

Winning recipients will have the opportunity for their photographs to be display inside the Centennial Museum as part of the “Centennial Photo Contest” exhibit. The exhibit will be on display from Nov. 8 to Jan. 15, 2015.
