Inspired by the sights, sounds and history of New Orleans, the UTEP dance faculty will debut Carnaval de Danzas beginning Thursday, Feb. 9. The show will be held in the Wise Family Theatre, on the second floor of the Fox Fine Arts Center, and will span from Feb. 10-19.

Faculty choreographers Leanne Rinelli and Myron Howard Nadel combined with other talents for the lively and colorful dance. Rinelli will debut “The Type,” which will pay homage to women’s equality.

On Feb. 10, 11, 16, 17, and 18, the show will start at 7:30, whereas on the 12th and 19th, it will start at 2:30. Tickets range from $9-$14.
