The Center for Environmental Resource Management invites the UTEP community to Adopt A Landscape and help keep the UTEP campus beautiful by claiming your patch of land and pulling weeds. Find out how at 8:30 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 10 at Leech Grove. A special training, offered by Bruce Erhard, a horticulturalist with more than 40 years of experience, will kick off the event by teaching volunteers how to distinguish between a common weed and one of UTEP’s unique desert plants. Volunteers are encouraged to help maintain their patch of land throughout the semester.

Don’t forget to bring a hat and pair of gloves!

This is a great idea it allows faculty as well as students to appreciate the scenery we have on campus and allows individuals to have a sense of accomplishment since they’ll be making their own landscape in a sense. Well helping out the University.
